The Shanghai government commissioned Jon to sculpt a bust of American writer Eugene O'Neill, foremost American dramatist and winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1936.
This is Jon’s second sculpture commission in China.
O'Neill was the Father of American Drama. Revered by the Chinese, this piece is installed on Theatre Avenue in the Opera District of Shanghai.
Also a casting at his residence,Tao House, in Danville, CA. where he wrote his last plays.
