DARING COURAGE is the theme of this monumental sculpture.

Jon won the commission for California State University at Northridge, after an intense national competition.

​

The Matador is the school’s mascot. He assumes the most daring and courageous pose a Matador can, turning his back on the bull while walking away, dragging his cape on the ground.
