REDEMPTION is the theme of this sculpture.

The film Shawshank Redemption has been acclaimed as the greatest movie of all time, based on a world wide survey!

To mark the occasion of the films 30th anniversary in 2024, the sculptures were commissioned by the Reformatory Restoration Society, where lifesize bronzes of the famous movie scene will be installed at the location of the original filming in 2026, at the former Ohio State Reformatory in the city of Mansfield, through the efforts of Mr. Frank Darabont, Director and writer of the famous film.
