LYNCHBURG, VA- Jon has just received a commission to sculpt a 10-foot tall bronze statue of a "Fighting Hornet." The hornet is the athletic mascot of Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Located about 180 from Washington DC, this private college sprawls over 214 mountainous acres of beautiful Virginia countryside.

The sculpture will take about one year to produce and is scheduled for installation in 2007.
