| ATHENS, GREECE – Amidst the excitement of the Athens Games, Jon presented
sculpture concepts to a large audience dignitaries on The Queen Mary 2, in
Athens.
Representatives from the International Olympic Committee and the Government of
Greece were all present for the unveiling of three different concepts for a
“Monument to The Olympic Truce.”
The monument will affirm peace and cooperation for the ages in the grand plaza
of the International Olympic Truce Centre in Athens.
The project was first announced in the General Assembly of the United Nations by
Senior Advisor to the U. S. Delegation, Benjamin Gilman. |
